Beth Sanders Obituary

Beth Galloway Sanders, named for her precious aunt Liz Shapera whom she loved dearly, left earth for heaven and the arms of her Savior, Jesus Christ on March 3, 2005. Born January 21, 1953, she was a beautiful, kind, talented and athletic wife, daughter, sister and aunt. Beth enjoyed singing and had performed with the Mastersingers with the San Antonio Symphony for several years. She also "worshipped with her voice" all over Texas in Sunday morning services, weddings, and funerals. Beth was also a very accomplished tennis player having won 3 State Singles Championships for Pearsall High School as the Texas Tornado and acquiring a rank of #5 in the nation. Beth loved to love and to be loved. She sent cards and wrote notes of joy always thinking of making others feel special. She frequently was the first person to visit folks in the hospital or nursing home. Her generosity knew no limits as she loved to shower her friends and family with gifts - often for no reason at all except to say "I love you". Beth's tender heart and loving care will be truly missed by her beloved parents, A.R. (Alex) and Evelyn Galloway of Pearsall; sister and brother-in-law, Melissa and Dan Smith of Coppell, Texas; her nephew and family, Trey, Amanda, Travis and Audrey Vick of Houston; niece and family Kelly, Mark, Jake and Preston Revis of Coppell, Texas; her nephew, Sean Smith of Pearsall; her niece, Kristyn Smith and Amanda Carrizales who serves with Campus Crusade for Christ in East Asia and her husband, Dr. Bill Sanders of Lubbock, Texas. Funeral services are scheduled for 3:00 P.M. Monday, March 7, 2005 in the First United Methodist Church of Pearsall with Rev. Stan Troy and Rev. Barbara Galloway-Edgar officiating. Interment will follow in the Pearsall Cemetery. For those desiring to honor her life through memorials, the family has requested memorials to the charity of your choice. Arrangements under the direction of the HURLEY FUNERAL HOME Pearsall, Texas 78061 (830) 334-3361

Beth was one of the most beautiful souls who ever lived on this earth. Bill you do not have to worry about spending eternity with her because you will not be going to the same place.

BILL SANDERS

March 18, 2023

When my wife Beth passed away about 18 years ago, my uncle (a Methodist minister's father) told me "In time you will heal. I do not know how long it will take, but you will heal". I still have a hole in my heart and I miss her every day. I believe that the wedding vows "until death do us part", applies to both partners. Grief is the price you pay for love, and is an extension of love. For those who are truly in love, grief continues until death of the second partner, when the couple is united in Heaven.
Love, peace, and healing to all her friends and family.
