Clinton Feriend Obituary

Clinton Everett Feriend, age 19 of Pipe Creek, Texas, passed away Sunday, September 23, 2007 in San Antonio, Texas. He was born on May 2, 1988. Clinton had been employed at Jennings Anderson Ford in Boerne. He was loved by many and never met a stranger. Clinton is survived by his mother Sherry Hearn and husband Jeff of Pipe Creek, TX, father, Gerald Feriend of Castroville, TX, grandmother Nancy Oehler of San Antonio, TX, grandparents Don Dorothy Tietz of Gordonville, TX, and grandparents George and Janie Feriend of San Antonio, TX; 4 sisters, Jessica Lorraine Feriend, Aubrey Barger and husband Josh, Carly Fried and husband Donnie and Whitney Hearn; 1 brother Jason Lee Feriend; niece Leah Barger; aunt Karrie Groves and husband Bob; 2 uncles Joe Hearn and wife Sandy and James Hearn and wife Cindy; also numerous cousins, great aunts and uncles, and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by granparents, Ida Lucas, Clinton Oehler, and Nona Hearn, and great-grandparents Ewald and Betty Oehler. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday September 27, 2007 at the 11 AM at Lakehills United Methodist Church with Pastor Scott Herren officiating. Interment will follow in Pipe Creek Cemetery. The family requests in lieu of flowers, that memorials be made in Clinton's name to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Donor Services, P.O. Box 4072, Pittsfield, MA, 01202, and/or the benefit fund set up in Clinton's name at Wells Fargo Lakehills Branch, P.O. Box 624, Lakehills, TX, 78063. The amount of people at Clinton's funeral speaks volumes on what a special person he was and how many lives he must have touched. My prayers and blessings are with all of his family during this most difficult time. May God watch over you all as Clinton is with Him.

Dear Carley & Family

I have just returned from Clinton's funeral and I was awestruck at the number of people who attended. There were hundreds in the parking lot who couldn't get inside the church during the service but everyone stayed and waited to be able to go down the aisle to pay respects. One could easily see how special Clinton was by the number of people who mourned the loss of him. My prayers are with you all that God will give you peace.

To Carly & Family

I am truly sorry to hear about the loss of your loved one. Although, I may have not been related, I feel as though I could have been. Carly, who is a very sincere friend of mine, always spoke of Clinton and his positive energy. She expressed his high spirits and hope, no matter how difficult or painful an obstacle he had overcome. It was obvious that one of his greatest qualities was strength.
