Elliott Silver Block

Elliott Silver Block, of San Antonio, passed away Tuesday, January 11, 2005, at the age of 94. Elliott was one of the original merchants of North Star Mall and was the founder of Elliott's Young Men and Boy's Store. He was very devoted to all his family, as husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and uncle. Mr. Block was an avid golfer, as well. He was preceded in death by his parents, Morris H. Block and Lily Silver Block and his first wife, Rita Leiser. Survivors: wife, Rachel J. Block; daughter, Roxanne Block Russell and husband, Robert William Russell; son, Daniel Block and wife, Julianna. Also survived by Jesse Burciaga and wife, Teresa; grandchildren, Jessica Burciaga, Brandon Burciaga, Fernanda Block and R. Lily Silver Russell; brother, Leo L. Block, San Antonio; sister, Betty Jane Simmons and husband, Seymour Simmons, Denver, CO.; loving nieces and nephews.
