Encarnacion L. Martinez, age 83, entered into rest on May 14, 2024 in San Antonio, TX. He was born on July 3, 1940 in Laredo, Texas. He was a proud US veteran who served his country in the US Army and retired from USAF reserves as a TSgt. He was preceded in death by his parents Miguel F. Martinez and Efigenia Martinez; sisters Olivia Diaz and Eva Ramirez; brothers Roberto, Leopoldo, Miguel, Alfredo, and Rodolfo. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years Margarita G. Martinez; daughters Sandra Sanchez (Armando/retired USAF Reserves), Lisa A. Ramirez (Victor), and Cynthia Ramos (Paul); son (retired USAF Reserves) Michael Martinez (Debra Jimenez); sisters Olga Rogerio and Graciela Serna. He is also survived by grandchildren Cory (US ARMY), Ian, Emily, and Sebastian (US NAVY); numerous nieces and nephews; cousins; aunts and uncles; other family members and friends. He was loved by all and will be deeply missed.
SERVICES
Visitation will be Wednesday, May 29, 2024, from 4 - 8 p.m. at Brookehill Funeral Home with a Rosary to be recited at 6:00 p.m. Procession will depart the funeral home at 9:15 a.m. Thursday, May 30, 2024 for a Mass at St. Leonard Catholic Church, 8510 S. Zarzamora St. at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
