Felix Arroyo Obituary
Felix Luis Arroyo passed away November 24, 2010. Born in Villalba, Puerto Rico on August 25, 1921, he left his home during World War II to join the U.S. Army, and spent the next 27 years serving his country. After his retirement in 1969, he worked in food service management, served several charitable causes as a tireless volunteer, and was an active member of many professional and religious organizations. He was a man of many interests. He read the paper every day, loved to ask questions -- and really loved to argue over the answers. Felix loved God, loved life, loved his family, and loved his country. And, in turn, he was loved and will be missed by everyone who knew him. He is survived by his wife, Teresa, his children, Felix, Sonie, Lonnie, and Millie, and by 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at Sunset Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 30, at 3:00 p.m. Military burial will take place at the Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery Wednesday, December 1, at 8:45 a.m.

Dear Friends and Family of Mr. Felix Luis Arroyo:
Please accept my deepest sympathies on the loss of your beloved. There are never any right words to express how deeply sad I am for the pain your family is enduring at this difficult time.
As Chair of the Senate Committee on Veteran Affairs and Military Installations, I am sincerely thankful for his valiant service in defense of our rights and freedom.
His commitment to family, friends, our community, and to serving our great nation leaves a wonderful legacy. May the love and the wonderful memories you shared with him help you when you need it most. He will never be forgotten, and your family will be remembered in my prayers.
