Fernanda F. Colunga went to be with the Lord on August 7, 2023, at the age of 77. She was born on October 27, 1945, in Elmendorf, Texas.
Fernanda is preceded in death by her parents, Geronimo B. Flores and Adelaida B. Flores and her brothers Geronimo B. Flores, Jr., and George Flores.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Eliazar D. Colunga; children Eliazar D. Colunga, Jr. (Elizabeth), Gabriel A. Colunga (Melissa), Idelle M. Colunga (Pedro) and Ephrain A. Colunga (Stella); grandchildren Isaiah Colunga, Mark Armitage (Elyza), Gavin Colunga, Jeremiah Colunga, Gabrielle and Isabelle Colunga; great-grandchildren Noah, Julian and Alicia Armitage; brothers Gilbert Flores and Rosendo Flores (Patricia); along with numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
She will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her.
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 14, 2023, at 5:00 p.m. with a rosary to be recited at 6:30 p.m. at Mission Park South. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 15, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Anthony Catholic Church (Elmendorf, TX) with final viewing to begin at 9:00 a.m. Interment to follow at St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery (Elmendorf, TX).

My Aunt Fernanda was the best! She was a great role model and will be sorely missed. She made me one of my most favorite outfits as a kid, I wore that dress out my mom had to hide from me so I would stop wearing it. Aunt Fernanda spent time with us as kids(nieces and nephews) taking us on adventures. I remember once she took us to the movies, we saw Jaws, and then went out for hamburger's at Griff's. We had the best time and enjoyed spending time with her. Rest is peace Aunt Fernanda.
