Fortunato Cedillo Obituary
Fortunato Reyes Cedillo born on October 14, 1925 in Goliad Texas Passed into eternal rest on December 13, 2012. The beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle and husband is proceeded in death by his parents, father Santos Cedillo and mother Juanita Cedillo, sister Tomasa Salomon and brothers Manuel Cedillo, Ramiro Cedillo. He is survived by his wife Gloria R. Cedillo of 52 years and his children Alice, Esther, Diana, Martha, Robert,Teresa, Elias, Joann, Lucy, Susan, Frank Jr, Karen, Juanita, Jose, Elizabeth and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews. Born the eldest of 16 siblings Fortunato (Frank) was full of life even through his illness and disabilities to his very last breath. He will be greatly missed. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 19, 2012 from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Alamo Funeral Home with a prayer service to be held at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 20, 2012 at 10:45 a.m. at Alamo Funeral Home with interment to follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. I miss you everyday...I wish I would´ve realized how good life was when you were here. Sometimes I think I took it for granted and it hurts til this day. I´m sorry if it ever felt that I didn´t appreciate you, I truly did.
I was selfish back then and have learned a lot through the years...
I miss you & grandma and I hope that I´m making you proud.

Papo, for all the years I have yet to come without seeing your face, smile or hearing your voice & yelling at Alessandra to stop turning your t.v off, I will always remember you like yesterday. Words can never explain how much I loved and appreciated everything you ever did for Alessandra (Cassandra) & I. We will forever miss and love you everyday.

My Grandpa (Bapo) will always remain in our hearts. He will be remembered for his music, he not only sang but wrote songs, his great sense of humor, and the love he had for others. He was a brave and very respectable man. He was a wounded veteran, and proud to have fought for his country. I not only want others to know that my grandfather had a great heart, but that he was in good spirits until his passing. Even after having a heart attack 12 years ago and being confined to a bed, he thought of others, and kept a smile on his face and laughter in his heart. My deepest condolences to all my family, and my heart goes out to my grandma who is not the same with out my grandpa, 52 years together and all she wants is to see him again. We will remember our Bapo always and forever. May God pour out his peace and love on all my family in this very hard time of saying good bye to wonderful man.
