Frances Dunbar Obituary

June 16, 1922 - May 18, 2016
Frances L. Dunbar (nee: Weirich), age 93, entered her rest with the Lord on Wednesday, May 18th, in Boerne, Texas. Born June 16, 1922 in San Antonio to Richard W. Weirich & Olga (Schandua) Weirich of Fredericksburg. Frances is proceeded in death by her husband of 53 years, Eudell (Del) Dunbar, her eldest son & his wife , Errol & Kathryn Dunbar, 2 grandsons (Del & Nathan "Scott" Dunbar), & her 4 siblings, Viola Doebbler, Eugene Weirich, Mildred Patterson, & Lucille Osborne. She is survived by her son, Bruce Dunbar, & his 3 children (Eric & wife, Rachel; Aaron Dunbar, & Amy Aul); & by 10 great-grandchildren (Kelsey Leslie Ritchley & husband, Jonathan; Lori Leslie; Brian, Nick & Valkyrie Aul; Jaydn Dunbar; Kyle Dunbar; Arron Hammack; Jacob & Lauren Pelzel). She was a graduate of San Antonio's Fox Tech High School. Fran was professional self-employed seamstress for more than 50 years, having sewed the cheerleader uniforms for Jefferson High, Thomas Edison High & other schools during her career. She had been a Matron of the Eastern Star, & had been awarded a Life Membership of the Texas Congress of Parents & Teachers, & was, until recently, an active member of Red Hat. But her greatest reward in life (& now in death) was living as a faithful Christian, & member of the Boerne Church of Christ for almost the past 48 years. Two of her favorite charities were Medina Children's Home (armsofhope.org) & Cal Farley's Boy's Ranch & Girlstown (https://
www.calfarley.org/sanantonio
