Frank Paul Nieschwietz was born September 12, 1939 in San Antonio, Texas and he was a lifelong resident of Falls City, Texas. He passed away September 27, 2014 in San Antonio. Frank Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Peter and Gladys (Moczygemba) Nieschwietz. Survivors include his brother Peter John (Marilyn) Nieschwietz of Falls City along with numerous nieces and nephews. Frank Paul is also survived by his dear friend and companion of 45 years, Alice P. Jendrusch of Falls City, her children and grandchildren, along with many dear friends.
Frank Paul graduated from Falls City High School in 1957. After high school he attended the University of Texas at Austin, later transferring to St Mary's University in San Antonio where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree.
Frank Paul was an entrepreneur establishing his own fertilizer business, Farmers Gin Company, later to become Frank Nieschwietz Enterprises Inc. He acquired a fertilizer/farm and ranch store in Loire, Texas that operated as On The Farm Inc.
Over the years Frank owned service stations and a convenience store in Falls City. He served on the Board of Directors and Vice President of the Falls City National Bank for several years. Frank also served in the U.S. Army Reserves. After retiring from the fertilizer business in 2011, Frank pursued his passion for horse racing, owning and racing horses in Texas, Oklahoma and Louisiana.
Frank Paul was very active in his community. He served on the Falls City ISD School Board and was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Texas Thoroughbred Association and most recently a founding director of the Falls City Education Foundation. He was a dedicated philanthropist always giving to the community, church, school, many organizations and military services. Frank Paul was an unselfish giver who touched many lives through his kindness and generosity. He will be deeply missed by each and everyone who knew him.
Services for Frank Paul will be held at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Falls City. Visitation will begin at 5:00 pm followed by a Holy Rosary at 7:00pm on Thursday, October 2nd 2014 in the Church. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Friday, October 3rd 2014 followed by burial at the Holy Trinity Cemetery in Falls City. Services are entrusted to Rhodes Funeral Home, Karnes City, Texas 78118. Memorial contributuins may be made to the Falls City ISD Education Fund, PO Box 399, Falls City, Texas 78113.
