Frieda Reichenbach
August 27, 1921 - May 30, 2025
Born and raised on a farm August 27, 1921, near Thrall, Texas to Oswald and Frieda Laake. The youngest of five children, she married Carl E. Reichenbach on October 17, 1944.
She worked at Joske Department Store until their son Gary was born in 1953 and was a stay at home mom from then on. She was an avid gardener with a green thumb. She lovingly tended her flower and vegetable gardens.
She was an avid bowler and enjoyed playing Bingo and Bunko with her friends.
She is survived by her son Gary, his wife Debbie, grandchildren Amanda and Gary Jr., and great granddaughter Mikayla Reichenbach.
The family request in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Christ Lutheran Church or the charity of their choice. Also, the family would like to thank the staff at Northeast Baptist Hospital, especially Tivika and Robbie. As well as the love and care from One Heartland San Antonio Wellness and Rehabilitation Facility Nursing Home in her final days.
Visitation will be Thursday June 12th, 2025, at 4:30pm - 7:00pm located at Sunset Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 1701 Austin Highway, San Antonio Texas 78218. With burial at a later date Friday June 20th, at 9:00am located at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, Texas 78209.
