My deepest sympathy to the Rowan family. Tammy and I became fast friends when we moved next door to them in 1966. Harold graduated soon afterward, but I remember him as a very nice older brother. May the Lord comfort you all at this time of loss. You have all been a special family to me and my sisters.

I am deeply sadden by your tragic loss. Harold and I attended Graebner, Lowell & Burbank together--alot of us grew up together in that special group of kids. Harold was always so sweet, loving and thoughtful -- he never changed his mannerisms. I am so thankful that I recently got to spend some quality time with him at our 40th Burbank Reunion. My prayers go out to your family and know that Harold is smiling down at you and still embracing his loving family.
I will truly miss my "Little Compadre".

Harold was one of the funniest people. When we were little, he was very much a Uncle to my Sister Nicole (NIKKI) and myself. The entire Rowan family was our family for so many years. My deepest sympathies go out to the entire family on this loss.

I remember the Christmas Eves that we all spent together at Nana's. Stinky would always make us laugh. His dry wit seems to be a trademark of the Rowan men. I remember all the cousins running around Nana and PawPaw's house, playing on the banks of the San Antonio river or simply sitting on the back porch with PawPaw as he drank a beer and watched over the yard. I don't remember Stinky ever having a bad word to say about anyone. He was just too busy joking around. I also remember all of us kids practically breaking our teeth on the hard candy Nana always had out or those wonderful peanut butter logs.

I never really had the pleasure of knowing Stinky as an adult. I do remember the brief and funny chats we had at the odd, occasional family gatherings. I do know for a fact that his heart was a generous one and he will not soon be forgotten. It does seem that the world turns a bit faster as the weight of his soul returns to the heavens.

To my Aunt Barbara we send you our heart felt prayers and love on the loss of your son and want you to know we are with you in spirit. To Tim, Candy, David, Tammy and Susan we send our heart felt sympathies on the loss of your brother.

All Our Love and Prayers,
Jim, Ellen, Anna, and Peter

Beloved Friend,
I will ever be grateful that we experienced a friendship which began in the first grade and became much closer and more meaningful over these past years. I will remember your love, caring, company, and humor. I will treasure our sharing our heart's desires, joys, and disappointments. You were loved and you will be missed. My daughters and mother are left with fond memories of you. I will keep a special place in my heart for you. What will I do without my old friend next reunion? God be with you and with your family.
