Harry Dauer Obituary

Harry Dauer, Jr., went to be with the Lord on December 7, 2005 at the age of 78. He was born on April 28, 1927. He was a World War II veteran in the U.S. Navy and retired from RAFB in 1983 after 36 years of service. He was an active member in the 5951 VFW in Bossier City, LA, Post 14 American Legion in Shreveport, and a member of the Elks Club. He enjoyed participating as a Board Member of the Bossier City Council of Aging. He also enjoyed traveling, dancing, gardening, and all matter of life itself. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry Carl Dauer, Sr. and Alma Hornbostel Dauer and two sisters, Viola Piper and Tillie Foster. He is survived by his loving wife of 24 years Claudia Darlene Dauer; four daughters, Dianna Begley and husband Joe, Deanne Voges and husband Wade, Burnita Reininger and husband Robert, and Robin Rodela and husband Tim; one son, David Dauer and wife Debbie; two sisters, Corrine Borchers, and Nora Harvey and husband Larry; seven grandchildren, Christy Vigil, Daniel Dauer, Dustin Dauer, Devin Dauer, Reid Reininger, Kori Reininger, and Frank Ryan Cavazos; three great-grandchildren, Anthony Vigil, Victoria Vigil and Olivia Vigil. The family will receive friends at Porter Loring Mortuary North on Sunday, December 11, 2005 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. SERVICE MONDAY, DECEMBER 12, 2005 12:00 NOON PORTER LORING MORTUARY NORTH CHAPEL Interment will follow in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Bossier Council of Aging, 706 Bearkat Drive, Bossier City, LA 71111. Arrangements with Porter Loring Mortuary North.
