Janet Lynn Obituary

LYNN
Janet Ann Lynn was born April 2, 1944 in San Antonio Texas to Walter M. Lynn and Jo Lynn. Her sister Helen Edwards preceded her in death and she's survived by her nephew, nieces and other family.
She passed into her Lord's loving arms September 15, 2013 in her home surrounded with love and prayer after a courageous battle with cancer.
Her memorial service will be held at First Baptist Church of San Antonio 515 McCullough Avenue on September 29, 2013 at 3:00 in the Wilson Chapel. Reception afterward in the Unity Hall.
See also http://www.puenteandsons.com/obituaries for her Celebration Wall. Janet gave a life of devoted service as an educator and counselor. She had a tender heart for the underdogs and felt that life was too short for grudges or weak coffee. Her loves included gadgets, popcorn, sports, Paris and especially her students. Her friends and family will dearly miss her and her laughter. She left this earth a better place for having lived here.

Janet always made me laugh. I will miss her clever wit and sense of humor. It was always a joy being able to talk with her.

Sweet Aunt Janet. She didn't even know us but I felt like she loved us just because. I will miss our sweet "Tamale Lady".

So blessed that Janet (A.J.) was a part of my life for many years! I concur with the other posts about how dedicated she was to the children. SAISD is better because of the countless life's she touched!

Perhaps my fondest memories of Janet were the many errands we ran when we shared holidays together. She really enjoyed Home Depot and the chain saw she got one year.

Janet was almost as passionate about sports as the children and, through my work, we were able to attend a Cowboy Game in a suite! I think she enjoyed!

She is at peace with our Lord & Saviour Jesus Christ! We mourn her physical absence but know she is no longer suffering and we will be reunited for eternal life!

I will always remember Ms.Lynn, she was here with us at Mark Twain Middle school and helped all our students.
When she left she was missed dearly.

May she rest in peace and may God bless her.

What a sweet, true friend. She is already missed terribly. However, my joy for her is great since she now is in a perfect, healthy body with her perfect Saviour!

Ms. Lynn and my mother were friends for over 40 years. They were co-workers and dedicated educators together, but most of all, good friends. She was definitely a welcome sight anytime I came home to visit. Ms.Lynn sent me that most crucial of SA tokens every Christmas- My Spurs wall calendar! She was a warm and wonderful lady with a quick with and big heart. She will be dearly missed.

Such fun years at Fox Tech with Janet! Once a Buffalo, always a Buffalo! Am very thankful we crossed paths and shared time at Tech together.
