Janet Parrett Obituary
Janet Parrett passed peacefully from this life into her Heavenly life Saturday, March 23, 2013, surrounded by her loving family and friends. Janet fought a courageous battle against cancer with laughter, love, hope and faith.
Memorial service and celebration of life will be 2pm Saturday, April 6, 2013 at Grapevine United Methodist Church, Grapevine, TX.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to the American Cancer Society.
Jan was born November 15, 1956 in San Antonio, Texas to John and Wilma Banfield Loessberg. She grew up and graduated from San Antonio Lee High School. Jan was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and daughter. She and her family have lived in Grapevine for 21 years with a brief time in the Woodlands. Jan and Hub always enjoyed having cookouts in their backyard for family and friends. She was a devoted member of First United Methodist Church, Grapevine where she volunteered for many jobs but her passion was "The Blankets of Hope" ministry which she headed up. She was especially blessed with being a member of the Cancer Support Group in the church. Jan was a woman of great faith and had a wonderful peace about meeting her Heavenly Father. Jan, her smile and her loving heart will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survivors: husband Hub Parrett; sons Randy Chivers and wife Kellie; Nick Wheeler and Oliver King; daughters Mary Parrett and friend Dylan Binkert and Sarah Parrett; mother Wilma West; grandchildren Kaitlynn and Ethan; mother-in-law Alice Robertson; brother Johnny Loessberg and wife Linda; sister Cindy Albrecht and husband Kevin; and many special friends.
