It saddened me to discover that Kathy has passed away. Just as everyone has stated Kathy was such a kind tender hearted person. One of the fondest memory I have of Kathy was during the Vietnam war. Both of us were in a sad place. Kathy was kind enough to reach out to me. We both liked the band Steppenwolf. She called me and offered to take me to the concert. She knew I was a broke kid who did not even know how to drive. She offered to not only to buy me a ticket but also pick me up and take me home after the concert. I have never forgotten that night and so many other times I spent with her and her family. I hold a special place in my heart for the Yeater family.
