Lawrence Denman Obituary
Lawrence Neill Denman passed away May 2, 2015. Larry was born March 20, 1951, in San Antonio to Roy Powell Denman and Norma Kathleen (Morgan) Denman. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Debra Lee Denman. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Carol Matthews Denman; daughter, Marilyn Diane Denman; and brothers, Robert Allen Denman and Jay Powell Denman.
Larry graduated from Jefferson High School, Southwest Texas State University, and UofH Bates College of Law. He practiced law in San Antonio since 1978. He was an active member of First Baptist Church as a deacon, choir member, and Sunday school teacher.
A memorial service for Larry will be held at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, May 7, 2015, in the Wilson Chapel at First Baptist Church, 515 McCullough Ave., to be followed by a family visitation at 4:00 p.m.

Larr - the man of many names who kept us on our toes, recommended great books, talked about himself and his health with constant good humor and let us all be a part of his family just by welcoming us into it. Even though you have gone ahead of us, thinking of you still brings us smiles. Thanks for hosting the Bookaccino gatherings in your own San Antonio. We'll toast you when we all gather in Chicago this year!

I enjoyed being in Larry's sunday school class but my divorce took me away from the church and class. I always remembered his teaching and am glad to have known him. sincerely maria Louisa Falcon

Fred and I will miss Larry very much. He was a man of wit and always made us laugh with his special brand of humor. He is with God now and will be missed by all in our group.

I first "met" Larry in Bookaccino on AOL when I was just a teenager. As the youngest in the room he always made me feel welcome. I will miss him and his jokes and his book recommendations. Rest well Larr.
