Lupe Aleman Obituary
Lupe Iruegas Aleman, 93, of San Antonio, TX, passed away Tuesday, January 13, 2015. Lupe was born June 22, 1921, to Severino and Herlinda Iruegas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Juan Cantu Aleman; a daughter Herlinda; three sisters, and a brother. Lupe retired from Kelly Air Force Base in 1993. She was a longtime member of Iglesia Bautista El Calvario, where she taught Sunday school and Vacation Bible School; was a member of the choir; and served in numerous other capacities. Lupe also was a volunteer at the George Cisneros Senior Citizen Center. She is survived by two sons: John Aleman and wife, Margaret; and Richard Aleman and wife, Christina; four grandchildren: Audrey Hessler, Richard Aleman and wife, Cintia, Adrianne Stewart and husband, Jake, and Marisa Landin and husband, Kevin; seven great-grandchildren: Blake Landin, Isabella Hessler, Nicholas Landin, Samantha Aleman, Madison Hessler, Vincent Aleman, and Brody Stewart. She also is survived by a sister, Herlinda Ryder, and numerous nieces, nephews, former in-laws, and friends. Visitation will be on Monday, January 26, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Porter Loring on McCullough.

Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. The family wishes to thank the Renaissance House Personal Care Home for the loving and expert care provided to Lupe for the last 18 months of her life. They also wish to thank Gentiva Hospice for their expert services.

I just found out she passed away, I knew her from work at Kelly, she was a very nice person and i loved her dearly as a friend. she gave me advice and was sincere in all she said. May she be in peace

We are so sorry for the loss . I had thought about her just very very recently and wondered how she was ...I remember she told me that the reason she was going to live a long time was because she had to climb stairs everyday. still remember this comment.
