Mary Ackermann Obituary

We celebrate with the angels in heaven as our beloved mother, grandmother and friend, Mary Ackermann joined them on Monday, March 29, 2004. Mary was born June 3, 1922, in San Antonio, TX. She attended Hot Wells School. She was a baker/cake decorator, worked at WINNS, and a homemaker. She spent many years square dancing and was a longtime member of Sunset Ridge Church of Christ. She devoted much of her time to her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Andrew Ackermann and son-in-law, Gregg Westerman. She is survived by her siblings, Robert Cobb and wife Martha, Etta (Sis) J. Hillman, and Lottie (Dutchie) M. Linville. She is also survived by her children, Mary Ann Wear and husband Gene, Andrew (Andy) C. Ackermann and wife Michelle, Shirley Johnson and husband Bob, and Cathy Young and husband (Rick). She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and relatives. Pallbearers will be Brian Westerman, Greg Brandon, John Wear, Ray Wollenberg, Brock Johnson, and Dan Bellow. SERVICES Viewing will be on Wednesday, March 31, 2004, from 1:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Mission Park South. Services will be Thursday, April 1, 2004, at 10:00 A.M. in the Chapel at Sunset Ridge Church of Christ located on 95 Brees Blvd. Burial will follow at Mission Park South. Arrangements with Mission Park Funeral Chapels South.
