Maxine Ingle Obituary

Maxine Matthews Ingle exchanged her earth suit for a heavenly robe on September 4, 2007. She proved her leadership skills by being president of her graduating class at St. Mary's Hall, a leader at Bible Study Fellowship, and actively served others in Creative Thinking and Loving Circle at her church. She met life's struggles with God's grace, love, kindness, strength, and pecan pies. Her quick wit and hospitality will be missed by all. Maxine is preceded in death by her husband, Lee Anthony Ingle, Jr. (2005). She is survived by her daughters Laurie Ingle Marrero (husband August) and grandson, Christian, and by Julie Ingle Redburn (husband Lane) and grandson, Everett. Memorial at Alamo Heights United Methodist Church (825 E. Basse) at small glass chapel (across from Paesanos) on Friday, September 7, at 10 AM. Suggested donations to Castle Hills First Baptist School Ministry or Alamo Heights United Methodist Church. "For the Lord will be your everlasting light, your God will be your glory, and your days of sorrow will end." Isaiah 60:19-20 Maxine wants, more than anything (and prayed daily) for all her family and friends to know her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, so they can join her in heaven.

Julie and Laurie,
I am so sorry to hear about your mother, your parents brought me such joy, it was always such a pleasure to help them, you could see the love of Goid in their daily lives and it always encouraged me to try and live a better life. I had not seen your mother for a while but thought of her often, I just asked my sister about her last week. My thoughts and prayers are with the entire family. Please let me know if there is anything I can do for you.

Emma and my prayers are with you all at this time of loss. I found the following prayer when we lost Peg-I hope it fills you with the peace it does for me:
Grant, O Lord, to all who are bereaved the spirit of faith & courage, that we may have strength to meet the day to come with steadfastness & patience, not sorrowing without hope, but in remembrance of your great goodness, and in the expectation of eternal life with those we love.

Julie and Laurie,

You know I love you guys. You are a testament to your parents and I thank them for turning you out so well.

I remember visiting you at home, Julie, and was amazed that your mom served you breakfast in bed! She was always so gracious and inviting and I felt so welcome in her home! Must be where you get that fabulous hostess thang.

Love ya,

Suzy, Ellanore, Alex and Sophie

Dear Laurie:

Please know that you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers. Our prayer, too, is that through your Mother's life and testimony, friends and family will come to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior. What a wonderful legacy your Mom left for you and I know that her legacy will continue through your life as well.

Love,
Gay Voigt

Thank you, Ms Laurie, for letting me know your mom a little better thru this very brief summary. I'm a fan of good pecan pies, so I'm sure she and I would have been great friends :>), besides being able to pray together and to continue learning God's Word. * May the grace and comfort of our Lord be rec'd by you and everyone who's going to experience a hole in your hearts and in your lifestyles. * God bless . . . I'm praying for you. ~nella
