My heart goes out to the family and friends for his loss. I don't know if anybody will know who I am or have ever met me out in his property in the mid to later 80's. My name is Christine, I used to go buy the nickname of Star I moved away from San Antonio in 1989 I have since been back and forth over the years I currently live in San Antonio now and used to drive out to his property off Blanco Road but now things have changed so much since then I can't tell exactly where the property is anymore but would have given anything to have visited with him before he passed. I am a big animal lover and I frequently went to his home and spent a lot of time there with him and the cats helping them around the property such as feeding them, cleaning, incubating the peacock eggs. I hung around with them quite a bit. He had a girl friend named Bo who used to work with me at a bar I worked at. I will look for some of the pictures I have of my time at the property I have a video of me playing with a litter of cubs he had there at the time. He used to have this really cool huge Tiger standing up on its hind legs it was taxidermied it was a really neat piece. He had a really cool game room too. I often wished I could live there and continue with caring for the cats. He taught me alot and he trusted me with them because I respected them. I did not have a relationship with him we were just friends but when I moved in 1989 I lost touch. I think about my time there often over the years. If anyone would like to reach out you can contact me at [email protected].

With saddness I read about Mickey's passing . May God be with you in these days. My brother, James and I lived across the stree from the Sapp family and grew up with them in the 50's and 60's. James Ducote was in Mickey's class at Edison High School. I saw Sonny's passing last year so know this is a difficult time for your family. My sympathy and prayers

Mickey graduated with my future wife, and older brother. But I still remember his '50 Ford with the Pontiac engine and the wild hairdos that he and Willy Richter had. Wonderful times. "Go to Heaven a shoutin', Mickey."

Mickey was the best dancer I ever danced with. His sweet brother, Ireland, and I were very good friends all through junior high and high school at Edison. I use to go to dances with Mickey and Willie Rictor. They were like big brothers to me and were such good guys. My heartfelt prayers to all of the Sapp family.

Mickey was my dance partner at the Edison High Sock Hops..He was the best dancer around...plus he (and his best friend, Willie Rector) drove 2 of the hottest cars in S.A. That was in 1959/60. In the 70's me & my family lived down Blanco Rd from Mickey in Bulverde. We would take him 'road-kill' when we would hit a poor animal late at nite....His beautiful cats were glad to get it. God bless you and your family, Mickey....RIP
