Oscar Trevino Obituary
Friday, November 23, 2001 marked the passing into heaven of our father, Oscar T. Trevino. He was born on Friday, March 13, 1928 in Laredo, TX. His father, Teodoro Trevino of San Antonio and his mother, Armandina Magnon Trevino of Laredo, preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Eva P. Trevino; his seven children, Dr. Dina Trevino and husband Rupert Tijerina of San Antonio, T. Oscar Trevino and wife Carol of North Richland Hills, Luci Gonzalez of Dunedin, FL, Ana Garces and husband Rick of Coppell, Margaret Thompson and husband Roy of San Antonio, Luis A. Trevino and wife Amanda of San Antonio, and Joe E. Trevino of Phoenix, AZ mourn his passing. With 14 grandchildren, one great-grandchild; a sister, Grace Parduhn of Gary, IN; a brother, George Trevino in San Antonio, along with numerous extended family members. Dad was surrounded by people who loved and cared about him. Above all, he was close to his cousin and foster brother, Dr. Joe T. Sepulveda and wife Aniece of San Antonio. Our dad was an avid Aggie fan and followed the Aggie football activities religiously. He was an enthusiastic history buff, particularly anything pertaining to the Air Force and World War II. Daddy served as a Sergeant in the United States Army Air Force from 1946 to 1949. He worked for the H.B. Zachry Company from 1955 until 1996 when he retired as Manager for the Quality Assurance-Quality Control Highway Division. During his years with Zachry, he worked across Texas, the United States and internationally, in Chile, Peru, Jordon, Saudi Arabia, Puerto Rico and Jamaica. Even after his retirement, Dad stayed in contact with his work family, found enjoyment and pride in keeping up with Zachry achievements and activities. In lieu of flowers, we are honoring his memory by establishing a scholarship fund at Texas A&M University. Donations can be sent to the Oscar T. Viewing will be Monday, November 26, 2001 at Northwest Sunset Funeral Home on Bandera Road from 3:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. with a Rosary at St. Luke's Catholic Church at 7:00 P.M. Mass will be 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, November 27, 2001 at St. Luke's Catholic Church with Interment immediately after at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery.
