Yep, guess what??? I'm still grinding gears and putting miles behind me. You and Sam best behave yourselves, both of our moms are there and have switches available I'm sure. RA, Marshall, and Charlie Sr, will keep you busy too. Now I'm the "Old Man and the Truck" or in my neck of the woods "The Tool God" cause now I can sign up for Medicare. LOL. Anyone seen my walker???

I have waited to do this simply for the reason that there is so much to be said about a freindship that has lasted for over 20 years.
It would take another life time to tell. A tale of epic adventure.
To the many that knew RB we have all lost a good freind.
So until we meet again at the Big Horse and Mule Barn in heaven rest well my brother, for from my heart you will never be far.

Its been a long time since we last spoke, but in the short time I spent with R.B. he had a great impact on me. He was a great man and loving husband and father. He truely illustrated living life to the fullest and having no regrets. I only wish I could have known him better and been around him longer. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

RB when your sitting up there with my mom makin her laugh and showing her that rubber chicken I told her about, you two were so alike, save a seat for me. You will be missed my friend but never forgotten. I love ya and thanks for your bright spot in my life.

I dont know what i can say here. This hurts. When my parents died, you were there for us. So many times, you were there for us. To say that beth and I will miss you is so little.
I feel like i lost my dad again. I'll miss you RB. That's all i can say.

To RB's Debbie: My heart cries for you my dear as I just heard about RB from Cuz Willie. I'm so..so..sorry Deb. I just wish we'd gotten down there this summer to see you guys. I was just thinkin' about ya'll the other day in fact. How I missed the good ole' camping at Austin and Temple days...And when Willie said ole' Lizzie carried him that last ride - there couldn't have been a more fitting exit for RB. I'll miss his "has anyone told you how beautiful you are today" and his honkin' train horn when your sound asleep in the am. GOD BE WITH YOU Deb and Monica and we'll be talking to you soon. It's me again. As I was remembering R.B. I forgot to mention behind every good man is a good woman. Debbie you were perfect for him. He had 5 or more good women behind him. Monica, Debbie Tarpley, Mom, Bobbie and Elizabeth. I was so touched by Joshua Rountree's in-laws. Di and Chuck Premo only met him at the wedding of Katie and Joshua. When I told them that RB had died both Chuck and later Di said how much they liked him. Chuck remembered RB saying after he had taken a million pictures ,"We better go in there before the eat all the groceries" TYpical RB .

Am so sorry for lost of a good person. He was a good friend of mind. We grew up together he was older then me but he was a friend. Just wish we would had kept in touch with each other. I will keep his whole family in my prayers. I knew him from Floresville, Tx.

I remember many things about my brother. His humor, his kindness and love of his family and friends. I am always lonesome for him on the first days of school. I am not sure why. We shared a deep love of our family,friends and our dogs. It is hard for me to remember he is gone when I need something fixed. I love you,R.B.I am so glad you were there for my and my sons before and after Jim died.

I will miss my brother. He was always there for me. Just the other day, my truck made a nose, and my first thought was to ask RB, what it might be. I am very sad to know that Andrew will not get to learn more from his Uncle RB... I know in my heart, he loved all of us sister, and we will all miss him.

My condolences go out to RB's family. I am saddened by the passing of such a person. RB was loved by many friends; I should know I was one of them. I am happy to hear that the funeral was inundated with "RED" T-shirts, and Lizzy carried RB to his final resting place. I too will think of RB every time I hear that train horn blow. Rest in peace my brother....

As I watered my roses this am and admired the light pink one trimmed in dark pink and thought how sweet it is, RB came to mind and I dubbed it RB's rose. In our grown up years I didn't have many encounters with RB; but I will always remember when my dad and I would travel to SA to see our family, I will never forget RB going out of his way on the way to work to come by his parents to see me and my dad. He was always so sweet. So now when I look at that rose I will think of RB and what a rose he was.
