Robert Daring Obituary
December 13, 1953 - February 20, 2024
Robert (Rusty) Russell Daring, 70, of San Antonio Texas, passed away unexpectedly on February 20, 2024.
Rusty was born on December 13, 1953 in Fort Worth, Texas and served in the U.S. Air Force with honor and distinction for 20 years. Rusty was a guiding light, offering unwavering love and support to his family and friends. He had the kindest heart and an infectious laugh.
In addition to his parents, Vivian Ruth Russell Dulaney and Robert L. Daring, Rusty was predeceased by his stepfather, Ned Dulaney, and his sister, Barbara Chandler.
Rusty is survived by his wife, Beth Daring and his children, Bryan Daring, Kelley Daring (Rich Norlie), Jennifer Daring, Kerstin Fitzgerald-Devlin, and Shawna Fitzgerald. Also left to cherish his memory are his beloved grandchildren, Anthony Enriquez (Chloe), Emma Lemery, Corrinne Lemery, and Liam Devlin; brother-in-law Robert Chandler; niece Cindy Chandler Hager (Joel), and nephew Dennis Chandler (Jaime Cook); stepchildren Alison Schulze, Matt McCoy, and Haley Upson; and step-grandchildren Veda Schulze, Owen Schulze, Heather Johnson, and Althea McCoy.
Rusty will receive full military honors and will be laid to rest at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. Please contact the family for details.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Rusty's honor to Shields For Kids, a San Antonio-based charity. Donations can be made at www.shieldsforkids.com.
