Roxann Lee Baumgartner (nee Davison), daughter of the late Mercedes and Joseph Davison, passed peacefully the morning of January 4, 2021 in Highland Hts., OH. In life, Roxann was born in Asbury Park, NJ in June of 1936. She moved to Miami, FL and married Raymond Francis Baumgartner (deceased 1986).
She was loving and devoted to her family and is survived by her sister Nancy Webb (Elmer) and her children, Deborah, Michael (Dana), and Daryl (Susan). Also surviving are her grandchildren, Lauren, Abby, David and Nathan.
While raising her family, Roxann also began a nursing career in 1970's. She worked in the Neurosurgical ICU ward at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, before taking on a role with Kinetic Concepts Inc. (KCI) in San Antonio Texas. In retirement, Roxann traveled the world and especially enjoyed volunteer work in National Parks. She moved to the Cleveland, OH area in 2001 to be close to family and grandchildren.
She was an avid hiker and frequented the local metro parks with her hiking friends. During cold winters, she enjoyed spending time is sunny California with friends. Roxann made friends wherever she went and she will be missed by all who knew her.

First of all, my deepest sympathy for your loss. I knew Roxann from the hiking group. Roxann was a very kind, sweet person and I enjoyed knowing her. May she rest in peace.

Sincere condolences on your loss. Roxann was always kind and gracious to all. I was privileged to work with her for many years at KCI and I still have the postcards she sent me from her travels. She will never be forgotten and always be in our hearts.
