Marcella M. Baumgartner, age 91, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 12, 2026, at Skaalen Retirement Services.
Marcella was born on June 11, 1934, in Soldiers Grove, Wisconsin, to Fentress and Alma (Clancy) Adams. On May 30, 1953, she married the love of her life, Calvin Baumgartner, in Madison.
Marcella found joy in the simple things. She was often found in the kitchen cooking for those she loved, sewing, or curled up with a good book, she also enjoyed the excitement of auto racing. Above all, her favorite way to spend time was being surrounded by her family.
She is survived by her children, John (Cindi), Brenda (Steven) Reilly, Brian, Sue (Rick) Simler, and Ronald (Karen); grandchildren, Christi, Jim, Jamie, Patrick, Cody, Casey, Nick, and Bailey; great grandchildren, Hunter, Logan, Noah, Hannah, Sawyer, Paisley, Harper, Frank, and Piper. She is also survived by her sister Beverly (Glenn) Bane
Marcella was preceded in death by her husband Calvin Baumgartner and her parents.
She will be laid to rest next to her husband at Sunset Memorial Gardens. To honor Marcella’s wishes, services will be held privately with her family.
Family would like to thank Skaalen Retirement Services for the wonderful care they have provided her with over the last few years.
