Rudolph J. Kasper Jr, age 77, passed away on April 08, 2023. Rudy was a proud member of the Civil Air Patrol and the US Air Force, excelling as an Air Evacuation Medic during Vietnam. As a sergeant, he received multiple honors including a commendation medal and distinctions for expert marksmanship. Rudy spent most of his career as an auto mechanic at Jerry's Auto Service, finishing out his last ten years of employment at Toyota. To know Rudy, was to love him. Neighbors and family knew him as someone who would go out of his way to help anyone. From fixing cars and electronics, to mowing lawns, and providing rides, he was everyone's favorite "phone a friend". He often told stories from his time in the military and his passion for hunting, fishing, airplanes, WWII, firearms, wildlife, and cars was the topic of every conversation.
Rudy was preceded in death by wife Peggy (Myers) and survived by son, Shawn, daughter Jennifer (Ronny), grandsons Kaden and Kylen, sister (Elizabeth) and numerous nieces and nephews. Services for Rudy will be April 25, 2023: Viewing 9am; Mass at 10am (Holy Name Catholic Church). Ft. Sam Houston burial at 2:00 pm, shelter number 4.

Jennifer and Shawn, I was saddened to read about the passing of your dad. I didn´t know your mom had passed away. My deepest condolences for you both, as well as the extended family. I´m sorry I couldn´t make the services. You will be in my prayers.
