Ruth Poe Obituary

Ruth Elizabeth Poe, age 42, of Texas, born March 8, 1963 in San Antonio, (also spent many years in Hot Springs, Arkansas) passed away December 20, 2005. Preceded in death by Father, La Vern Bernard O'Kane who passed on Sept. 24, 1997; Survived by Mother Shirley S.C. O'Kane and daughters Crystal Lea Canter of San Diego, California and Jessica Dawn Susan Wilson of San Antonio, Texas. Brothers: Kenneth, John, Edward, Shawn, Kelly, and Timothy O'Kane; Sisters: Sheila Chin and Kathryn Bowen and many nieces, nephews, in-laws and close relatives. Ruth was a former cosmetologist who owned and operated her own salon in Hot Springs, Arkansas for a few years. She also worked at Lowe's Home Improvement Store where she enjoyed helping customers. Her strengths were independence and self-motivation. She had a passion for arts and crafts. She also loved taking on small home improvement projects. Ruth attended John Jay High School. MEMORIAL SERVICE FRIDAY, DECEMBER 23, 2005 10:00 A.M. ST. VINCENT DE PAUL CATHOLIC CHURCH, 4222 SW LOOP 410, Rev. Jose De La Rosa will be officiating. Arrangements are with Funeral Caring USA, 2200 NW Loop 410.
