Sandra Duerr Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Sandra Lee Duerr, who left us peacefully on June 10, 2025 at the age of seventy-five. Her family was the center of her world, and she gave every ounce of herself to ensure they were happy, safe, and deeply loved. She had unwavering compassion, boundless patience, and gave endless encouragement. In 1971, she met the love of her life, Lehn Duerr, at St. Mary's University. A year later, they were married and spent over 50 years together. She helped and loved others, but the most important people to her called her "Mom" and "Granny." Sandra is preceded in death by parents Elam Gembler and Lillian Sury Gembler as well as beloved daughter Allison Kelly Duerr. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by her loving husband, Lehn Duerr; her daughter, Michelle; son-in-law, Edward Huizar; her grandchildren Nicholas and Katherine Huizar, and Kailey Dietz, and all those who were lucky enough to know her.

Mrs. Duerr was a long time customer at the Hallmark I used to work at. I always loved listening to her stories about her life. I am deeply saddened about her passing and am sending prayers to her loved ones. She will be so missed.
