Oma -
I'll miss you. I love you. You always had something for me to do at your house, right up until the end. I hope holding your hand at the end helped. I wish I could have done more for you. I'll think often of all the good times we had together, like going to Schlueter and Frantzen reunions, visiting the Cave Creek school that you attended, and fishing with you on the Guadalupe. I especially remember the times Jeanette, Mom, Jim and I were with you in Fredericksburg and we got to see how far back the family really went. I'll also think of the fun we had when we were little and Opa was still alive. I'll remember the week that I spent with you when I was little, and ate all that delicious cinnamon toast for breakfast, and I'm grateful that you let me live with you when I was the physics teacher at MacArthur High School. You always kept your house so nice, and it was always a pleasure to see you, whether it was at Christmas, Halloween, Thanksgiving, or Easter. Don't worry about Fluffy - Aunt Jeanette is taking care of him, and your fish went with Jeannie. I'll always think about "Love you too", what you always said wehn we parted. May God grant happiness as you enter His kingdom.
Love always,
your loving grandson,
Ronnie

Gideon and Jeanette, your mother wanted the best for all of you, so the family moved from living off of walters st. We the kids of those days are now the GPts and GGpts and will do for our kids as our parents did. "For the lamb who is in the center of thr throne will sheperd them and lead them to springs of life-giving water, and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes." Rev. 7:17

What can I say except that Mama was a wonderful mom. She sacrificed her life for all four of us kids. And, not just when we were young but even until we reached the age of 65+. Always concerned with our health before hers. I feel so priviliged to have her for so long. Even though many of you appreciate what I did for her since Daddy's death in 1972, there is still so much more I could have done for her that I was too selfish to do. I loved my childhood with her and Daddy and my brothers and sisters. It will be so difficult to not ever see her again after her burial tomorrow. I cherish the song and think of her when I hear "The hand that rocked the cradel rules the world." Goodbye Mama. I will miss your touch. Love Jeanette

Aunt Sophie was a wonderful loving Aunt. She will be missed. May God receive her in his loving arms and hold her close until we meet again. I have wonderful memories of her and Uncle Edwin. God Bless.
