Stephen Gonzalez Obituary
Stephen Gonzalez, age 43, beloved husband, father, son, brother and friend passed away February 8, 2013. He is survived by his wife of 22 years Gloria, his children, Stephen Jr., Alexander and Iris. His father Steve (Josie), brothers Salvador (Jenifer) and James, sister Maree (John) and mother Mary. Brother in law, Joey (Jeannette), sister in law Paula and mother in law Rosa. Nephews Brandon, Jacob, JC and Joey, neices Sofia, Chelsi, Jael, and Jianna and numerous friends and family, HOMEBOYS 4 LIFE. Visitation will begin Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at 4:00pm with a Service at 7:00pm at Delgado Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at 10:00am at Delgado Funeral Home. Interment will follow at San Jose Burial Park.

Wow I can't believe its been this long already. It's just a website but it was good to see you here. I am very thankful for all the kind words and prayers for Stevie and my family. We are so appreciative of everyone's support this past month and a half. They say it gets easier with time, but they didn't know the impact Stevie had on me. My hero, my best friend, my brother. There is so much to be thankful for in the months leading up to his death but I would give anything to have one last beer with Stevie. So many times I didn't and that kills me. But I am so very thankful that he and I know exactly how we felt about each other. We hugged, kissed, cried all the time. He was a real man and taught me how to be one. I see you everyday, everyday I try and make you proud. Until we meet again... A brothers Love is forever. Your Little Brother Sal.

I still cannot believe this is real. Although I said my final good byes to you today my heart cannot accept that you are gone. You were my biggest support who believed in all my dreams. You have always been the voice of reason. You understood me when no one else did & you were not only there when I needed you, you constantly offered a helping hand. God Bless. To the family of Steve. I was fortunate enough to meet Stevie as a kid working at VJ Keefe Field. We became friends and I took him under my wing. We'd go to the Spurs games, he'd help our family set up the concession stand at the Alamo City Amatuer Baseball League or at La Semana Alegre during Fiesta Week. He'd recieve a stipend and was an ambitious worker bee, which was evident tonight when I saw his pictures. I'd lost track of Steve until a few years ago but just briefly and he looked like he'd been doing well, which did not surprise me. What did surprise me I'd known his Dad for a longer time. To all of you his Mom, wife, children and brother whom I met and spoke with, God Bless You. 2 Tim, 4:7 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.
