Thomas 'Tom' Allen Fields, a lifelong servant of the Lord, his family, and this country passed away on December 18, 2021. Tom was born in Midland, Texas, on October 4, 1948, to the late Wesley and Irma Fields. He later welcomed three younger siblings—Nancy, Mark, and Rob Fields. Soon after marriage, Tom began his service to this country as he enlisted in the United States Air Force. His career spanned twenty-seven years and during this time, he and Mary were blessed with two children, Tammy and Mike. Tom's hobbies that he shared with his children and grandchildren included a love of archery, firearms, and woodworking. He spent a couple years as a Scoutmaster for his grandson's Cub Scout Pack. In his true servitude fashion, Tom spent countless years caring for the everyday needs of his high school sweetheart after she had a devastating stroke shortly after they had retired. Tom is survived by his true love, Mary Fields, his son Mike Fields and his wife, Michelle, along with his twin grandsons, Matthew and Joshua Fields, his granddaughter, Emma Fields; his sister Nancy Baker and husband Dexter; his brother Mark Fields and his wife, Cindy; his brother Rob Fields and his wife, Laura.Preceding him in death are his parents, Wesley and Irma Fields, and daughter Tammy Fields. Inurnment will be held at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in the coming weeks.
