Vickye Mills Obituary
Vickye Spruce Mills, 62, of Corpus Christi, TX passed away at her home in Boerne, TX. On July 13, 2016 surrounded by her family. Vickye was born on September 25, 1953 in Corpus Christi, TX and a graduate of Carroll High School in 1972. She served on the development board for The Clarity Child Guidance Center in San Antonio, and an avid supporter of other organizations, such as Progeria Research Foundation, Teed Off at Cancer, The Genome Project, and many more. She married the love of her life, Gary Lynn Mills in August of 1988, She was a loving wife, mother, nana and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Frances Spruce and her brother, Robert Spruce. Vickye is survived by her husband, Gary Lynn Mills of Boerne, TX; children Brandi Burleson and husband Tommy, Brady Crook and wife, Lisa Crook, Taylor Mills and wife Lauren, Nick Mills and wife, Sherri; 15 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; her siblings, David Spruce of San Antonio, Louise Lightfoot of Corpus Christi, and Harold Spruce and wife, Debbie of Marshall. Memorial Service will be Saturday, July 16, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Journey Church, 12150 IH 37, Corpus Christi, TX 78410. Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 17, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.at Porter Loring Mortuary North. You are invited to sign the guestbook at www.porterloring.com
