Jerri – I’m sorry to hear about father’s passing. It sounds like he have been struggling for some time with the Mesothelioma, so I hope there’s reassurance in the fact that he is now at peace.

I lost my mother around Christmas (the morning of Christmas Eve to be exact) a few years back. It was tough at first, but now it has made Christmas even more special for my family and I because we can’t help but remember her each and every passing year. It gives us an opportunity to take time out and reflect on her life and to thank God for the all the time and memories we were able to share. I can only hope the same be true for you and your family.

P.S. I didn’t realize he witnessed the raising of the flag on Iwo Jima. That’s an interesting fact that I’ll be sure to document in my genealogy research (whenever I get back to it).

Sincerely,

Chris Vezeau
