William Rushing Obituary
William Leo Rushing, born September 10, 1931 entered into rest on October 2, 2016 at the age of 85 years. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years Mary H. Rushing, children, Rita Freeman (Donnie), Patricia Stevenson, William Rushing Jr. (Tonya), 5 grandchildren, John Jr.& Sheila Medovich, Steven, Mark & Jared Rushing, 7 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, siblings, Norman, Roy & Donnie Rushing, Linda Bowles and numerous other family members. A graveside service will be held at the Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery at 9:45am on Friday, October 7, 2016 with military honors. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Masonic Lodge # 1407 Valley High Drive.

My Dad (Thurman Rushing) was his uncle. I am Thurman's youngest child and lost touch with my Rushing side of family. But I remember the stories my Dad told of Leo growing up. He loved all his brother's children. I only knew Roy, Linda and Donnie. I send all of them much love.

You are a much loved big brother. I will miss our (not often enough) phone chats, usually on our birthdays. Miles kept us apart, but not the love and respect we have for each other. Rest in peace and free from pain and suffering. Please tell mom and dad hello. Know you all are rejoicing.
