Dear Cortez Family,
I'm so sorry for your loss. I delivered meals to Ms. Cortez on Wednesdays and always enjoyed her great smile and cheerfulness when she greeted me at the door. I will miss her.

My sincere condolences to Little Jay, Dottie, & June, as well as all of her grandchildren. I will always remember Tia Yoli as a loving, and funny person, but above all completely dedicated to her family. She & Uncle Jay were always there to support all of the family, whether it was campaigning in Laredo, or family get togethers. They made us laugh, & filled our hearts with love. They both are greatly missed. I know Uncle Jay, is thrilled to have her by his side, along with his brother, David R Cortez. She's making him eggs just the way he likes them now. Thank you Tia for the love & support that you always gave me. You will be greatly missed. Much Love to all of her family always...

Aunt Yoli, nobody ever fixed spaghetti and meatballs better than you. You were like a second Mom to me when I was a young girl. You came to Austin to show me and Dan how to perfect our tamale making skills. You will always remain in our hearts. My Mom use to tell us of the good times and laughs y'all had . I would have love to been there.Jul & Dan Holladay
