Evans-Frates, Amber 08/10/1984 ~ 06/09/2014 LAKESIDE -- Amber passed away suddenly from an apparent stroke while visiting friends in Washington. She had several medical problems, and was in the process of getting this checked out. She was and is a very special woman who touched everyone's life she ever met. Amber was the most giving, loving, beautiful, kind, strong, thoughtful, gifted, selfless person, who always put everyone before herself. Through all of her illnesses and trips to the hospital, Amber graduated from San Diego State University with her Bachelors Degree in History and was planning to go back for her Masters Degree following her dream to become a History Professor. She took so much pride in her education. Her strength and accomplishments never ceased to amaze us. Amber had a strong relationship with God and was a very gifted spiritualist, just coming into her own. I am so grateful and proud to be her mother. Amber is my special angel and I'm so glad her pain is gone now. I will love her and miss her for all eternity. Sleep now my beauty. Amber is survived by her mother Hollie Verduzco, stepfather Edward Verduzco, father Robert Evans, half sister Ella Marie and Gina, half brother Randy, grandmother Rose Ann Frates, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Services will held Monday, June 16, 2014, at East County Mortuary, 374 N Magnolia Ave., El Cajon, CA 92020. Private Viewing 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Public Viewing 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Services 11am to Noon. Graveside Services to follow immediately.
