Annabelle Ann' Wells October 26, 1921 - March 10, 2018 San Diego Annabelle Wells passed away peacefully on March 10 at the age of 96. Born in Superior, WI on October 26, 1921 to Erick and Selma Haglund, Ann was raised primarily in Superior. She graduated in 1943 from Superior State Teachers College with a degree in elementary education. She taught school in Superior for two years thereafter. She married Howard Wells on September 2, 1944. In 1946 the couple moved to San Diego, CA. Ann taught school in San Diego for some 30 years. Upon retiring the couple moved to Sun City, AZ and lived there for the rest of their lives. Both were active in their church, particularly in the funding of missionaries in foreign countries. Her husband, Howard, passed away in 2008. Her sister, Florence Yuhas passed away in 1956. Ann is survived by her brother Herbert Haglund of Portland, OR, and his six children. Michael (Melissa) of Portland, OR; Jeffrey of Lakewood, CO; Peter (Brian) of Happy Valley, OR; Janet Rathbone (Scott) of Portland, OR; David (Cynthia) of Clackamas, OR; Thomas (Elizabeth) of Galt, CA; and 15 grand nephews and nieces and 9 great grand nephews and nieces. A private memorial service was celebrated in Portland, OR. Burial will be at Glen Abbey Memorial Park and Mortuary in Bonita, CA.
