I read with sadness of the passing of a true gentleman and man of distinction. Bobby Ray Foushee was a gentleman and a respectable businessman throughout his life. He had interests in everything of importance and was a steadfast true American patriot. I enjoyed his company and friendship for years. My best wishes go out to Scott and his family, and all of the Foushee members of that great family organization. Sincerely, James S. Marinos

Bobby and I started about the same time, when the new plant on Kearny Mesa was just getting started. He was certainly one of the best and making a great contribution to the Centaur as it became THE upper stage for sixty years. One of his early efforts was a test program to determine when hydrogen and oxygen gas mixtures would ignite and burn. Quietly done in the south test area, by Bobby and used for years.

Bobby and Jeanette were neighbors and good friends. Bobby was so wonderful to Doug and myself. They were so supportive of us during a difficult time. We miss them so much. I am wondering where “Fred” is living, Kathy? Marilyn and Doug Sawyer

Foush was a key player in many departments and locations for GD's Astronautics, Convair and Space operations. I connected with Foush on several of those, starting about 6 decades ago at the Kearny Mesa Astronautics Division. We were working on the Atlas and Centaur programs and Foush was a solid professional and enjoyable to work with. Eventually we both ended up in the HR Department, where he was in charge and I was the Ombudsman, a real change as neither of us had HR backgrounds. It was fun to stay in touch with Foush over the years since we departed GD. Bye Foush.
