I was greatly saddened to hear of Dennis' untimely death. I was a San Dieguito classmate of his and missed his presence at our last reunion in September. Although we hadn't been in touch over the years, I still remember him fondly. The beautiful obituary is testimony of his value as a family member and his worth as a professional. It is certainly true that one still lives as long as he/she is in our memories, and Dennis is remembered lovingly.

I have known Dennis since the early 1970's. I worked for him initially at Rancho Santa Fe Engineering and also at Buck McCarty, and later knew him socially. Dennis was a quiet and sincere friend and I always enjoyed my friendship with him. He will be missed.

i am deeply sadden TO READ THE dennis has died. I was AN employee OF BUCK, MCCARTY AND ASSOCIATES FOR SEVERAL MONTHS IN 1977. I REMEMDER DENNIS AS THE QUIET MAN THAT RAN THE COMPANY. THERE WERE APPROXIMATELY 20 EMPLOYEES WORKING AT THAT TIME. DENNIS ALWAYS SEEMED TO BE THE CALM, QUIET, ONE THAT KEPT ALL OF US WORKING, ANSWERING OUR NUMEROUS QUESTIONS ABOUT SURVEYING. I.E. "DENNIS I DON'T UNDERSTAND THIS DEED, DENNIS I CAN'T FIGURE THIS DEED OUT, DENNIS THIS DEED DOES NOT CLOSE, DENNIS HOW DO I PRORATE BACK IN THIS CORNER? (YOU SURVEYORS/CIVILS WILL UNDERSTAND) HE WAS A TEACHER/INSTRUCTOR/FRIEND. I WILL MISS HIM

I was very sad to read in this morning's paper that Dennis had passed away.
I first met Dennis when he was married to Barbara and they selected me as Carey's Godmother after she was born. After they divorced I remained friends with Dennis - I last saw him several years ago when my husband and I joined him for dinner one evening in La Jolla and then we somehow lost touch with one another.
Dennis was a great man and will be missed by all who knew and loved him. The obituary was very well written and proof that he was admired and left a wonderful legacy.
My deepest sympathy to his family and friends.
Sincerely, Beverly Zukor
