Joe is my cousin and I was sad to belatedly hear of his passing. Joe was almost 20 years older than me and he would come to visit with my dad quite often. At that time I completely idolized him; he was the most funny and entertaining storyteller I've ever known and he always had many to share. He was excellent at anything he ever tried whether chess, ping pong, baseball and, from my understanding, he was all CIF cross country runner for Sweetwater High School. This world has lost much of its color with his passing. I'll see you soon mi primo... God bless

Joe brought out the best in my son. My son loved to play for him because Joe made him beleive he was going to be a star. Joe loved teaching and telling stories as anyone who new him would know. Not sure how much of them where true but I loved hearing them just the same. We sure will miss him. Rest in peace Coach Joe!!

Dearest Thelma and family...I remember you, your parents and of course your brother Joe all the way back to Starlight Opera Theatre where you and I performed. I remember Joe and I had such fun then especially during rehearsal times, a young man so full of life and eventually ready to give back to his community. Bless you all especially during this holiday time. Regards

Joe umpired Adult baseball for many years. When he was the infield umpire, he would start telling me (an infielder) a joke between pitches and finish after the next pitch. What a fun guy! Sad to hear of his passing.

Joe and I , we had some great times together, both on the Baseball Diamond and personally. He will be missed by many, all over the baseball umpiring industry. RIP my friend.

Joe was my summer league baseball coach for two years when I was in high school. Loved playing for Joe. He was super positive, funny and a builder of confidence. When you played for Joe, any opponent seemed beatable. I catch myself quoting the funny things he used to say from time to time. RIP Coach Joe Camacho, you'll be missed.
