We met Chickie and Birdie 6 years ago on Halloween. It was love at first sight and we loved them deeply and are missing Chickie especially now. The visits we spent with him, and the times we shared will forever be in our heart and never replaced as he was the most special of anyone in our lives. We shared our dog Belle with him and he lloved how she licked his hands and couldn't contain herself when i said do you want to go see Chickie? It was truly a blessing to live across the street from this remarkable couple and to have experienced lunches with them and see their long liove affair. We will rejoice having known them, but will always miss our Chickie and Birdie..

I have many fond memories of both Birdie and Chickie during the 80's and 90's. They were so generous and kind. They opened their home for members of UCSD Chancellors Associates when I was chairing that organization. We had formed a committee to become knowledgeable about the humanities and art in the community. The Glickman's had an amazing art collection that they shared with the committee members. They personally guided us all through their art collection, describing the history and meaning of each piece. They will be missed by all who knew them and were treasured members of our community.
