Kenneth Alan 'Kenny' Marshall

San Diego
Kenneth "Kenny" Alan Marshall of San Diego peacefully passed away on August 1, 2021. Born to Melvin and Alice Marshall, the first of three children, Kenny spent the majority of his years as a resident of San Diego. Upon graduating from Will C. Crawford High School in 1969, Ken was hired by Rohr Inc., which later became United Technology Aerospace Systems, as a machinist, primarily responsible for overhauling and refurbishing aircraft components. After 35 years of dedicated service, Kenny retired from his position on September 8, 2013.When Ken was not working, he was an avid bass fisherman having been mentored by the award-winning bass angler and author Bill Murphy. In addition to bass fishing, he enjoyed fishing the mountain lakes above Beaver, Utah with his brother in-law. Getting away from the "city life" and breathing mountain air was always a treat. He is preceded by his parents, Alice and Melvin Marshall. Ken is survived by his sisters, June Karen Post and Carolyn Marshall; niece, Corrine E. Sobota and her children Mackayla and Mathew. A private memorial will be held at the Old Town Community Church. His final resting place is at Singing Hills Memorial Park in El Cajon, California. July 6, 1950 - August 1, 2021

I'm sorry for your loss.
I remember Kenny as an early teen. We would hang out with our friend, Randy Sandberg. Riding bikes to go fishing at Lake Murray, wrestling on the front lawn, and, of course, talking about what was going on in our lives. Kenny was easy to get along with and I smile when I think of the time we spent together.

My brother David and I remember Kenny on Lake Alamor, always a sweet-tempered neighborhood boy. We are sorry to learn that he passed on and send our condolences to June and Carolyn.
