I am saddened to hear about Lisa's passing. I I met her in 1987 when we worked at Cliff Cafe together. She was a STAR! I ran every morning with her and saw her off and on for years. We worked at Cafe Cruz together. I hope that Bonnie and Lisa are enjoying the surf in Heaven! Miss you, Love, Erin

Lisa was a fun and infectious person, you couldn't help but love her. She lived life to the fullest everyday and her sense of humor was wicked and I loved it! I was lucky enough to meet her years ago through her wonderful, Cafe Cruz family. My sincerest heartfelt thoughts go to ALL her many friends and family.

As we all are passing through this space and time in this little cosmos of ours, well everyone in there own way is very unique and special, some good, some bad, some in between, Lisa was always good, like the right side of a magnet, there was no bad or middle ground. very much a shinning star in her own regard ! blessings and peace i hope she finds in were ever it is that we all go, eventually.

I met Lisa bobbing around in the surf waiting for that perfect shoulder to catch in the waters of Ocean Beach when we were in high school. We body surfed together as often as possible until she discovered her love of Santa Cruz. I missed her so she let me stay with her for a month while I tried out the lovely town. We had so much fun but I got homesick and came back to San Diego. I will always remember her smile and wonderful laugh. She was one of a kind in the best possible sense.

I met Lisa at the Hind Quarter in Santa Cruz when she worked as a server back in the 90's and into the two thousands when she moved her services to Cafe Cruz. I saw her about 3 times a week and got to know her pretty well.
What the obituary didn't say was that Lisa was highly intelligent, with a sharp wit, very organized and she never stopped moving.
Lisa was the bright shining star on a dreary day. Out interactions became very sarcastic over the years. A greeting from her to me came in the form of: "Oh hell, you're back again." Then she'd crack up and give me a genuine hug. She was a princess and a remarkable lady.
I've missed her since left Cafe Cruz for treatment. I was sad to see her leave, but devastated that she is no longer with us. She will also be remembered in our minds forever. God bless the family.

Lisa weaved through many circles and each one had a special place in her heart. She had a nickname for everyone and everywhere she went she brought joy and laughter.
I miss you so my dear friend, but I have you in my heart, my home and in my yard so you will always be with me. Till we meet again! I love you, Mary
