I remember being a very little girl when Marc came to visit my parents. We went to see Hercules at the movies, ate at Subway, and visited Mike the tiger at LSU. I remember thinking he was very funny and extremely nice! He introduced my dad to my mom! For that I'm very grateful ;) So sorry to hear about his passing. I'm sure he will not be forgotten.

It was in 1991. I met Mark on the campus of LSU for the first time. It's been quite long time since I left Louisiana but I still remember his voice and how he talks and smiles. He is always alive as long as we remember him. Now I want him to remember us , watch us , pary and lead us to our own peaceful world. Thank you for the good memories. Always remember you.

I am so sorry to learn about Marc’s passing. My heart goes out to his family.
I met Marc on April 21, 1991 in LSU – ELOP, on a field trip to Lafayette, LA. He introduced me to my future husband, David. We all became very close after that day. We laughed a lot and had the best time with Marc. He was a very special, good-hearted person, always volunteering to help others. Later the following year, Marc was at our small wedding, along with other friends from LSU (Dinorah from CR e Ingrid from Honduras). We moved and life got pretty busy. We often remember and appreciate him…for everything he did for us. We will never forget you. Love, Always.

Skin and bone, flesh and blood, friends and relationships, acts and deeds, spirit and soul, Marc you were all of these and much more. Although your body did not last your spirit never faded, even until the end you had hope and optimism. I will always have fond memories of our conversations. Your struggle to the very end was uplifting in that you never gave up. I selfishly wish you were still among us but I know you are in a better place in the afterlife. May you rest in peace as your long struggle is over. I will miss you but I have fond memories of you so it makes it easier.

I met Marc back in 1991 at LSU, Baton Rouge... in my very first trip to the US. He spoke to me in Spanish...THAT took me by surprise right there. We became good friends during my stay in BR and even became roommates. He was always full of charm, very enthusiastic, wiling to help, very talkitive, and always carrying a big smile on his face. Unfortunately, We lost contact of each other after I left BR; but, after several years I could finally got a hold of him.... Same guy, same attitude, same charisma... to admire big time. I will for sure remember him for the very special person HE was and will always be.

Marc, one of my first memories of you was a party we went to and you called me “wallpaper” because I was so shy. We had an amazing time in Baton Rouge, with lots of laughter, learning, and useless facts. You were one of my first teachers of Spanish, and made my transition to living in USA so much easier. You had such great impact on lives of so many people, you will be greatly missed. Love, radka

Marc's Humor will truly be missed... While pestering him about some order, he quipped, "you need to understand the order of things around here"...

Marc, I will never forget the good times we had with friends in Baton Rouge, the first party we went to and you called me "wallpaper" because I was shy. Thanks to you I discovered Spanish, and learned so much from you. I laughed so much with you. I wished I had kept in touch more. I will never forget you, you were an amazing person, and you made such difference in many people's life. Love.

Marc was one of the hardest working and least complaining people with whom I've ever had the pleasure of working. Always good for a laugh, he'd be the first to come to anyone's aid in a pinch. A good friend and a great colleauge, he will be greatly missed.

Marc and I hit it off immediately in graduate school. We then became room mates both in Baton Rouge then in San Diego. I have so many fond memories of Marc, especially the weekend trips to New Orleans. We were always cracking each other up. Sometimes he'd tell stories that just went on and on, so we ended up nicknaming him "Rose" (from the Golden Girls)!

I've thought about you a lot over the years, Marc. I just wish we hadn't lost contact a few years ago. Please know that both Del and I tried finding you several times to no avail. I do miss you, my friend.

Poodly's, what will I ever do without you! My heart is shattered and I
will always be greatfull that you were my baby Brother. I remember a time you had a dream about Kangaroo's and called me to tell me about it. I didn't answer my phone. I still have that recording. I will never delete it. I MISS AND LOVE YOU.

I will be talking with you everday for the rest of my life.

Choked up.

Got to go for now,
