The reality of loss is the rudest of all teachers, in part because, without consult or permit, it takes what we mistakenly assumed belonged to us and treats it as its own possession. 'Taking' of this sort -- is enacted when those we love are seized by deadly forces we neither recognize nor can forestall, and leave us in the hands of a teacher with neither mercy nor understanding, to learn anew -- and on our own -- what it was we had come to treasure beyond measure.

To the Family of Marian Sharp Corsiglia
Please accept our sincere condolences on behalf of Mortar Board. Marian was a loyal life member and supporter. We were proud of her accomplishments in life, as we know her chapter at Ohio Wesleyan University was. She brought honor to us all, and she will be missed.
With sincere sympathy,
Kristen Freeman Fox, PhD
