MICHAEL DAVID ARSENAULT

ARSENAULT, MICHAEL DAVID Highland, Utah - Michael David Arsenault passed away at VA Hospital in Salt Lake City on January 19, 2013 after a short illness. He will be very much missed and loved by all of his friends and family. He was born on July 10, 1950 in Oxnard, California to Albert Arsenault and Helena Zimnowacka. Mike was a United States Marine Scout Sniper 1st Marine Division (REIN) FMF Da Nang, Vietnam. Graduated Expert in his class 22-69. Received a Purple Heart while in Vietnam, completed his duty in 1971. Mike has had many years of trying to deal with very serious PTS from his years of service fighting for our country. He endured more than his share of trails and tribulations. We pray he will rest in peace and happily joins his father whom he has missed so much. He enjoyed living in many states with his family. His father was a Chief Petty Officer in the Navy for 20 years and Ship Captain for San Diego Oceano-graphers. Mike never had a bad or unkind word to say about anyone, and had the biggest softest, gentle and tender heart towards all. He loved deeply. Mike worked in real estate in San Diego areas, and construction as foreman on high-rises for Brady Company in San Diego, where he had a construction accident in 2006. He worked for his father in their furniture business for years. He enjoyed playing and competing with friends in racquetball, and basketball. He watched all sports, but he loved the outdoors. He was an avid hunter, and fisherman. Fishing the oceans, Alaska and Canada with his father. Hunting many of the states for pheasants, quail, ducks and geese with friends and family. Enjoying camping all summer and ice fishing in the winter on all lakes in Utah. Mike loved to travel enjoying New Zealand for Fallow Deer, fishing in Australia, and Florida, Belize Central America hunting wild pigs, and months of fishing the Caribbean each year in Belize. Of course Mountain Man black powder shooting and primitive bow and arrow competition and loved Utah deer and elk hunts. His biggest thrill was taking his grandchildren and two great-grandchildren on the boat and streams fishing, as they tried to out fish him. He had great patience and enjoyed all kinds of guessing games, hide seek, cowboy and Indians, vacations, wrestling and teasing the grandchildren. He married Faye Mounteer in Belize in 2006 and moved to Utah. He is also survived by his mother Helena Arsenault, Sun City, CA; son Brandon Arsenault, Chicago, IL; three brothers, Robert John Augusta, Georgia, Paul Albert Cottonwood, CA, and Bryan Steven, Huntsville, Alabama; sisters Laura Jean Arsenault, Rancho Bernardo, CA and Janette Akcayoglu, San Bernardino, CA; three stepsons, Bart Mounteer, Charleston, Utah, Jeff Mounteer, Heber, UT and Darcy Mounteer, American Fork, UT, 11 grandchildren, two great-grandchil- dren all in Utah. He was preceded in death by his father, Albert Arsenault in 2004. Memorial Services will be held for Mike at Fraternal Order of Eagles Hall, 210 N. 600 W. Pleasant Grove, UT, on Saturday, January 26, 2013 at 2:00. Interment will be at Riverside National Military Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Blvd., Riverside, CA, on Feburary 8, 2013 at 10:45.
