Nancy Reinbolt Obituary

Nancy Faith Reinbolt, age 94, passed away peacefully on December 11, 2023, in San Diego, CA from complications of a stroke. She was a beloved Mother to a family of three daughters and three sons and a committed wife to her husband Dale who preceded her in death in 1992.
Born on November 25, 1929, "Faith" (her preferred name later in life) was a woman of remarkable strength. Forced into a life of having to care for others as a teenager in the 1940's, due to the early death of her father, this formed the lifelong foundation of her deep concern and interest in others. Like her mother Mabel, she approached life with the unique combination of toughness yet compassion. She had a strong conviction for righteousness, inspiring and touching all those around her.
Nancy was a strict, "old-school," classy lady who dressed up for church and doctor's appointments, insisted on sending hand-written thank cards and never allowing elbows on the dinner table!
Nancy endured tremendous hardship throughout her life, the greatest being the deaths of her son Alan, daughters Mary and Angela in addition to the loss of her loving husband, Dale. A dedicated and selfless soul, she would make any sacrifice necessary for her family and friends.
Throughout the years, Nancy was a beauty queen in her early twenties, a bookkeeper at Sautter's grocery store in her hometown of Sylvania, Ohio, and a secretary at a nursing home. Her pride and joy though were being the best Mother she could be to her children, of whom she was immensely proud.
Those who were fortunate to know Faith admired her great intelligence, her sharp wit and endless resilience even into her nineties. Her presence brought warmth, laughter, and comfort to all.
She will be dearly missed and forever remembered.
A Funeral Mass was held at St. Catherine Laboure Catholic Church, Friday December 22, 2023.
Faith is survived by daughter Rachel, sons Jacob and Russell (Diane) and granddaughters Ella and Erica.
Family requests no gifts or flowers. Donations can be made to the charity of one's choice in memory of Nancy Faith Reinbolt.

I just learned of Nancy's passing. Your mom was one of the "coolest" volunteers I ever had the opportunity to know. I just adored her. She was sharp, spunky, and always so fun. Thinking of you today.

Dear Rachel, Jacob, Russell, & family so sorry to see that she lost your mother My heartfelt sympathy and prayers are with you. Going through high school in Sylvania & college we had such a good neighborhood of good people and friends including your family. I remember as a kid banking and having a savings account at the Sylvania Savings Bank where Dale was a VP if I recall right, & recall Nancy with our neighbor Bob Sautter at his grocery store in Sylvania, there were so many very good people and friends in our neighborhood very fortunate. Nancy & Dale, like my parents, raised terrific children. I liked Angela and Mary a lot & remember dating Angela a few times during the college years that were great, visiting Angela at the hall where she was one of the residential counselors down the street from my fraternity house, as well as remember rides home on a bus on breaks or Angela and I sat next to each other. Later when I transferred universities I remember attending business courses sitting next to Mary as we both took notes, & Mary lived in The same connected dormitory building as I did small world. Nancy and Dale still live through their kids who they raised very well. I could not believe Allan & Dale were taken too soon. Not too long ago I could not believe that Angela had passed away and remember trying to locate Mary and order to pay my condolences, prayers, & comfort, Only to be shocked that she had died in her home in Texas, far from where we used to sit next to each other in business courses. May God bless Nancy and her family who have been through a lot, family that have touched many hearts, and will be missed by many. God bless, Blake Baker

Such a nice family. I remember Mrs Reinbolt well from growing up in Sylvania and going to school with Alan beginning in grade school. Condolences to all.
