I had the pleasure of knowing Nancy in the mid 1980's when I worked as a Forester at the CDF Hdqtrs in San Bernardino. Nancy always had a gentle grace; always a smile and a kind cheerie greeting. One always felt a bit of a lift having spoken with her. While Nancy always worked for the Chief or other staff, she was the foundation that kept the whole office running, supporting so many of us that worked out in the field. There are no goodbyes. Nancy lives on in my memory, am glad to have had the honor of knowing and working with her....till we meet again dear friend...

She had a long life and has earned a well-deserved rest. Nancy was one person whom I've always looked up to. She was a mother figure of a sort and a very classy lady. It was an honor to have known her and to have worked with her.
Nancy took the time to write to me when I was deployed to Kuwait with the USMC Reserve for the Gulf War. I appreciated her getting mail from her. She was one of a handful of other co-workers who wrote.

Mom, thank you for your great love for me and all the family and friends. You fought the good fight of the faith. 2 Timothy 4:7-8 states, "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day - and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing."

You reign with the Lord in Heaven, Mom. Have fun with all the family and friends. One day, I will see you again :) Love, your daughter, Jean
