DOBSON, PAT Remembrance for Pat Dobson Former Major League Pitcher "Our Baseball Guy" A celebration of life for Pat Dobson is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, December 10th, at the Marina Village, Bayview Room, 1933 Quivira Way, San Diego, CA 92109. Pat thoroughly enjoyed his excess of 47 years with MLB. Yes, Pat was a famous baseball pitcher to many, but to his family he was so much more. We will remember him as a real family man who was a wonderful "father" and support system for all of us, a great cook, and one who told funny jokes and stories. He was a loving step dad to Jackie Maness, Jessie Lawrence and son-in-law Chris. Pat was a proud, "Pa" to his granddaughter Kaitlyn, 7, who had been with him almost daily since birth. She adored him and loved his cute names and the special things he would do for her. He was never too busy to help give advice or be there for any of us. He always brought a smile to us no matter what the situation was. To his wife Kathe, he was more than a husband or friend, he loved unconditionally. He was a wealth of information and his retention for almost any subject was amazing. Pat was a gentle, loving, and extremely honest soul that will always be with us forever. He was truly an Angel on earth and a Giant of a man! Pat, 64, died unexpectedly on November 22nd. He resided in San Diego with his wife Kathe. Pat is survived by his mother, Bertha and sister, Susan in FL; a brother, in NY; sons Pat III and Stacy; daughter Nancy in NC; three children in FL; eight grandchildren and two step-daughters in San Diego.
