Paul --
Very nice obituary for your dad! I wish I would have gotten to know Uncle Peter better but I always enjoyed the limited times that I did get to spend with him and I have only good memories and good feelings about him! If you keep him alive in your heart he never really dies -- know that I will carry the good feelings I have of your dad with me!
RIP Uncle Peter and thanks for being who you were!

To the Marangos families,
Although I have never had the opportunity to meet Mr. Peter Marangos personally, my treasured friendship with his son Paul was a proxy for being up close and personal.
Paul's unsolicited praise and stories about his father showed me that Peter was a great man and father. Paul and his brother lost their mother at an early age. Raised by their single parent father, Paul often recalled stories of how his father would come home after work bringing them doughnuts and sweets (pretty sure that is how Paul developed his huge sweet tooth) and entertaining the boys with his boundless musical talent, humor and enthusiasm.
Pater's thoughtfulness and kindness were no doubt great life lessons for the boys who grew up to be both highly successful in their fields (Paul in neuroscience and biotechnology and John in business) and true gentlemen of high character.
Paul reciprocated the kindness and love by being a lifelong family-centric and caring man, taking much time to travel to Florida several times a year to tend to his father's needs during his declining years, including getting the relentlessly active Peter a cool new car and the latest computer/internet gargets.
Please accept my sympathies and comfort in your loss of such a wonderful person. In my mind, Peter lives on in the stories that I will continue to hear from Paul and the family.
Sincerely,
Andrew Chen
